Uploading image filesAn intelligent use of images in online open education resources will enhance the learning efficiency. The permitted types of images in Colwiki are png, gif, jpg, jpeg. Before uploading please ensure that the image you intend to upload carries an Open Source Content License acceptale to Colwiki. If in doubt please refer to Colwiki copy right policy at http://www.colwiki.org/Colwiki.org:General_disclaimer activity
see the upload screen image below: Linking image on your pageTo link/display uploaded image on a Colwiki page, we use the markup If your image name is nature.jpg, the markup to be typed is (that is two opening squire brackets, the word Image, colon, your file name with extension, two closing squire brackets) . This will display the image in its original size. Adjusting the display of imageWhile completing the above activity you will get the image displayed in full size on your page. Now you have the option to decide the position of the image (like left, center, right), display size of the image, display type for the image (like thumb or frame) , and description etc. For example the markup will give a 200 pixel wide rendition in a box in the left margin with My Picture as description. In the markup, after the image file name put a pipe symbol and give the preferred display size (px denotes that size is measured in pixel). Put another pipe and give the type of display thumb or frame, after that you can fix the display position, and finally a short description. Here take care to give the file name exactly as you have uploaded, all other parameters except the description should be in small letters.
